Limited run of 100 instruments, team-built at Fender’s Custom Shop.
Description
The 1959 STRATOCASTER RELIC LTD guitar (Builder Select – Masterbuilt by Todd Krause) comes in limited run of 100 instruments. This Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition beauty has been given the full-on Relic treatment to show years of natural wear and tear—nicks, scratches, worn finish, rusty nickel/chrome hardware, distressed aluminum pickguard and aged plastic parts. The premium ash body has a nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The one-piece maple neck has a C-shaped profile, and a 9-1/2″ radius African rosewood fingerboard. Nickel/chrome hardware includes Fender/Gotoh tuners and an American Vintage synchronized tremolo with ashtray cover. Of its 3 custom wound Fat ’50s single-coil pickups, the middle pickup is reverse wound, reverse polarity to cancel hum. Includes a custom black hardshell case with a black crushed velvet interior, and COA.

This is as Good as it Gets for Me. It Just Floats out of the Case & Resonates Like No Strat I have played before.

Info on Todd Krause | Master Builder
Calling Todd Krause the “Builder to the Stars” would be a vast understatement. He maintains and builds guitars for Fender signature artists Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Stu Hamm and Roscoe Beck. Further, he has built custom instruments for Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bob Dylan, Roger Waters and Gene Simmons, to name only a few.
Krause’s guitar-building apprenticeship began in March 1981 at Jackson/Charvel guitars. He started at Fender in 1991 and quickly donned many hats, including that of a one-off builder, R&D model maker, woodworking machinist, and, eventually, master builder.
